今回紹介するのは、ドイツのバンドTANKARDのB-Dayです。

内容は、1984年のデモHeavy Metal Vanguardト1985年のデモAlcoholic Metalが収録されたものです。
自分はオリジナル盤を持っていません。
自分が持っているのは、2010年10月29日にAFM Recordsから再発されたCDです。

何故かといえば、国内盤はカップリング盤で、2枚目のアルバムChemical Invasionと3枚目のアルバムThe Morning Afterを一緒に紹介したからです。
話をB-Dayに戻します。
B-Dayは前作Kings Of Beerから約2年振りのアルバムになります。
今作の内容は、1曲目から勢いのある疾走曲で始まります。
そして、2曲目以降もその勢いは止まりません。
疾走曲の割合が高いアルバムです。
途中、ミドル・テンポの曲やスローな曲がありますが、緩急がついているので、飽きることはありません。
TANKARDらしいスラッシュ・メタルを聴くことができました。
最後に、4曲目の「Ugly, Fat And Still Alive」は、これまでTANKARDがリリースしたアルバム名が歌詞に使用されています。
